To begin with, our team of Study Coordinators in Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand, want to thank you very much for the honor of being recognized as SCs for the month of January 2026, for our work on the Rapid Study Project. It is our great pleasure to contribute daily to the success of the ADVANCE-ID network.

Our team was assembled and started working on the Rapid Trial in October of 2024. At the time the Team consisted of five people. It was comprised of: Mayura Malasit (nickname Thames) she has been an RN for 16 years. In her spare time she enjoys writing stories, online shopping and going to cafes. Then we have Chonlada Maharach (Ju), an RN for the past 25 years. In her free time she enjoys gardening, watching TV series and playing with her two cats. Next is Pitchayanant Ariyaprasert (Oil), she has also been an RN for 25 years. Her spare time is spent cooking and enjoying nature. Followed by Kesorn Angchagun (Pui). Pui has been an RN for 15 years and her hobbies include; reading, cooking and baking Finally, we have Sornsuda Setaphan (Gift). Gift has been a Research Scientist for the past nine years and then Research assistant for nine years. She enjoys crocheting, arts and crafts, gardening and watching TV series.

In the beginning, understanding the complexities of the RAPID Study Project was a little overwhelming for all of us. However, we quickly adjusted and developed a good working routine. We have since learned to work quite closely with each other, the doctors, nurses, pharmacists and lab technicians, all with a deep understanding of how each and every one of them contribute to the success of this project and an appreciation of the hard work they all do, while giving their precious time to us. Additionally, we have learned how to deal daily with many different relatives of patients, who don’t always fully understand what we are trying to accomplish, but they are always grateful that we are trying to help their family members.

As time progressed, everything started to come together after we enrolled our first few patients. Seeing the results first-hand and watching volunteers recover and return to their families was very heart-warming. The successes are what keeps us going, working as a team and advancing the Project.

For all the other SCs out there, we recommend you develop a complete understanding of the goals of your project, work with tact, diplomacy and respect while dealing with fellow professionals, and you will be rewarded with a great sense of accomplishment each and every day.

Once again, we thank you very much for the recognition that you have bestowed upon our team here at Sunprasitthiprasong Hospital, Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand.
