ADVANCE-ID Directors, Drs David Paterson and Mo Yin, have made invited presentations at the inaugural GAMRIC meeting held in London. They discussed key AMR issues such as the high mortality burden attributed to multiresistant Gram negative bacilli in Asia, the inequity associated with lack of access to effective new antibiotics, the challenges in managing patients with serious infections, such as VAP, without evidence from relevant clinical trials and how advances in clinical research methods can assist clinicians and drug developers.
