Recognising the faces and stories that drive our mission forward

"Dear ADVANCE-ID Team, thank you so much for this honor! Being part of the RAPID trial alongside talented colleagues from around the world has been one of the most meaningful and fulfilling experiences of my career.

My academic journey began with a passion for molecular biotechnology. I earned my master’s degree in biotechnology from the Department of Biology at National Changhua University of Education. My thesis focused on using plants as a platform to develop a mouse model for a cockroach allergy vaccine. This research not only laid a strong foundation in immunology and molecular biology but also sparked my interest in applying science to clinical practice.

After graduation, I joined the pharmaceutical industry as an associate analyst, where I was mainly responsible for the analysis, identification, and development of raw materials and synthetic drugs. These years in R&D honed my precision with data and sensitivity to drug quality, and they led me to start asking an important question: How can research be more connected to clinical practice and truly benefit patients? That question became the turning point that brought me into clinical research.

In 2020, I joined Taichung Veterans General Hospital, where I became involved in the development of third-generation sequencing platforms and participated in various international collaborative studies. Outside of work, my most relaxing moments are spent playing the piano and violin. Music helps me stay focused amidst a busy schedule and brings energy to my creativity.

Participating in the RAPID trial has been a rare and valuable journey. It deepened my understanding of how international clinical trials operate and reminded me that behind every data point is a patient’s story. This realization has made me pay more attention to detail, communication, and teamwork—because these are the keys to ensuring both research quality and patient safety.

To all fellow study coordinators: No matter where we are located, our dedication and passion are the driving forces behind RAPID’s success. Let’s continue to learn from one another, support each other, and move forward together—to create more possibilities for global clinical research!"

Join us in the "Reel-World Evidence" Challenge!

Do you know our “Reel-World Evidence” Challenge is still on-going? This is a social media contest designed to celebrate and appreciate the hard work of Study Coordinators across our RAPID trial sites.

The RAPID trial is a multinational, open-label, phase 4, individually-randomised study registered on ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT05979545). Through this initiative, we want to highlight the dedication of our collaborators while bringing creativity and fun into the trial journey.

How to participate?

  • Study Coordinators can create and submit short video reels (10–90 seconds) during the contest period from 15 October 2025 to 30 November 2025.
  • Reels should showcase creativity, team spirit, and unique interpretation of the theme "Data, Drama & Deadlines".
  • One winner will be selected. The winning video will be featured on our social media channels and website.
  • A token of appreciation will be awarded to the winner.
  • Submit your reels via email to: ephbox71@nus.edu.sg

Theme: “Data, Drama and Deadlines”

Bring the everyday challenges and triumphs of clinical trial life to the screen! Share a fun, creative, or inspiring reel that captures your team’s journey with data entries, queries, and deadlines.
