Two recent publications emphasise the high impact that the ADVANCE-ID team has in the world of AMR.

Dr Mo Yin, Deputy Director of ADVANCE-ID, published the results of a landmark clinical trial in Lancet Respiratory Medicine. The trial, titled REGARD-VAP, showed that individualized, short course antibiotic therapy was just as effective as traditional, long-course therapy for ventilator-associated pneumonia. Professor David Paterson, Director of ADVANCE-ID, along with Dr Helmi Sulaiman, Infectious Diseases Physician, Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya, published an editorial in JAMA Network Open.
